Rainy Stroll Through Oxford, PA
Back in September, I took a short stroll through Downtown Oxford, PA. It was a quick one due to the relentless rain, but despite the trip’s brevity, the committed work of Oxford Mainstreet, Inc. was apparent throughout the community.
From the beautiful on-street planters, to the murals, informational kiosks, pole banners, and pedestrian enhancements, the work of the Main Street organization was impossible to ignore. Earlier in the year, I had the pleasure of meeting the Oxford Main Street team when they visited Downtown York, PA, and ever since then, I have been impressed with their dedication and passion for their community.
Unfortunately, the community’s impressive growth took a turn for the worse on September 13 of this year. The downtown’s core was dramatically affected by a fire that engulfed several buildings, including the offices of Oxford Mainstreet, Inc. It will take years and countless resources to rebuild.
